Sorry, I am a little late in posting this… Been a busy couple of days! I am going to attempt to get caught up today. Crossing my fingers!
Anyone who knows me well can attest to how obsessive compulsive and controlling I can be! Seriously, my step-daughter makes fun of me and likes to say that my OCD is so bad it needs to be rearranged as CDO because I need the letters in alphabetical order. It’s sad because it is true!
Wednesday, I sat silently (sorta) in the corner of a production room while a creative director tried to create my vision for our upcoming TV commercial. I was patting myself on the back for allowing him to hear my vision and run with it. As I sat there, I questioned whether he completely understood what I wanted, but I think the finished product will be awesome! I will share the video once it is completed.
Luckily, I had the foresight to bring my notebook so I could get some work done on content planning while I patiently sat there. I put together a plan for August… you are all in for some treats!
Wednesday, I was thankful for the Florida heat. The production room was FREEZING!!! I didn’t turn on the AC in my car until I was nearly home… 30 minutes into my drive! I was also thankful for Cheez-Its because I did not get a chance to have lunch, so those were the perfect snack to tide me over until dinner. The final thing I was thankful for on Wednesday was lotion in public bathrooms. The restroom in the production studio was just your standard public restroom, but they had Bath & Bodyworks lotions on the counter. Who does not like good-smelly stuff? 🙂
The person I was singing praises for on Wednesday was my husband. He was also the person behind my meaningful moment. I already shared my pride on his going back to school, but I want to share with you how incredibly proud I am of him for his persistence, patience, and listening skills. I am not an incredibly patient person, and therefore, not a very good teacher. I was trying to refresh both our memories on Algebra the other night and had forgotten how hard it can be! His determination is inspiring and I am incredibly proud of him!
Thursday, I was thankful for my co-workers, McKenzie and Robin. McKenzie has taken on the task of entering customer data into my spreadsheet to track customer information and import into several sites I use to communicate with customers. It is mundane and time-consuming… no fun! Each morning that she is in the office and offers to help, the burden that is lifted from my shoulders is immense! I cannot begin to tell he how crucial this is to my time-management on a daily basis! Thank you McKenzie!!! Robin is my other half at the office! We are like sisters… sometimes we fight like sisters too. But, being like family, there is an unconditional love and bond that withstands whatever drama is going on. Yesterday (Thursday), I was having a meltdown and she was there for me with my other thankful thing… McDonald’s French Fries!!! I love you Robin! Thank you!
