I just finished day one of “no sugar”… You would be amazed all the places sugars hide! I did this for 3 weeks before and lost 14 pounds. As soon as I stopped, I gained it all back and then some. I know I can do anything I set my mind to, but this is going to be tough!
I woke up and had black coffee… I am like a zombie in the mornings. I am willing to do without my cream and sugar, but I cannot give up the caffeine. And believe me, most people would not want me to! 💀
Breakfast consisted of V8’s Green Goodness juice and half a cup of blueberries.
Lunch was hummus spread on romaine lettuce, a slice of turkey, and a cucumber spear wrapped up. It was very tasty! I make my own hummus, and it is darn yummy if I do say so myself! Which I do! 😉 I also had baby carrots dipped in hummus as a side dish for my lunch. The lettuce wraps needed some accoutrements!
I left work early so that we could take my Bug to get her learners permit. That was a sorrowful bust through no fault of hers… Long story, but shortened to the documentation we have it not sufficient. Looks like an uphill battle in our not so distant future!
Upon returning from that debacle, I was feeling pretty hungry. Bug had not eaten the leftover Pork Marsala I made Saturday, so I pulled the cold pork chop out of the fridge and literally choked down! It’s protein… Don’t judge me! 😜
For dinner, we did breakfast for dinner with omelettes. This was safe as everyone could choose their own fillings. Mine was sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, and some cheddar cheese. It was delish!
Somehow, in that valiant attempt at sugar-free, I consumed 47g of sugar. I know they came from my juice, the blueberries, the tomato, and the wine in the pork marsala, but I want to get that number down closer to zero.
