I’m embarrassed… I was a little panicked yesterday. Hurricane Irma was looming and chaos was ruling the day. Gas stations were (and still are) out of gas, grocery stores were out of water and supplies. It was insane.
I thought outside the box and got 2 gas tanks from a boat dealership to store our gas. I have a siphon to put the gas in our generator and/or vehicles as needed. I still need gas, but the governor has said that more gas will be coming soon.
Otherwise, I feel like we are well prepared. We are stocked up on non-perishable food items and water. We have first aid kits and everything else on the Hurricane Kit Lists… and let me tell you, there are a bunch of lists.
So, now that I have done all this panicking and running around, I realize that it is time to just wait. Which means my focus is back on work and an entirely different kind of funnel. I need to focus on my lead generation funnel. I need to figure out how to find businesses that need my services. I know that I would be an asset to any business that contracted me for the marketing, but I have to get in front of them.
I am getting on a call this afternoon with 2 brilliant guys who created Traffic & Funnels. We are going to do a strategy call to determine the best way for me to create demand for my services. I am super excited and hopeful that we will come up with a solution that will not only help me grow my business, but will allow me to help others grow their businesses.
I needed to refocus. And I am so thankful that this conference came at just the right time. This storm had stolen all of my attention the last 2 days. I know that once the storm has passed, life will go on and we will need to actively move forward.
We don’t know for certain how hard the storm is going to turn to the east. We don’t know how much of an impact it is going to have on us. We are trusting God to handle all of that and keep our family and home safe. We are also trusting in God to lead us in the right direction for our futures!
