I have been M.I.A. since returning from our trip. So much happened during our travels that I needed time to come back to reality. Then, add to it that I returned with the mother of all sinus infections – like, Face so swollen my phone didn’t recognize me kind of sinus infection! And, immediately after starting a barrage of medications, I decided I needed to rip my foot open on our screen door.
So, I needed some time to lay low and just be.
But, I am on the mend. The sinusitis is just about gone. My husband has pampered me and helped me clean and bandage my poor foot. And, life must go on!
The blessing in disguise through all of this is that I had prayed the day before my injury that God would humble me and help me to realize my blessings. I wanted Him to give me a way to offer my struggles for the intentions of others. The small inconveniences of being sick and injured are so minor in comparison to the burdens others carry, but they have helped me to spend time in prayer when I have been in pain and to learn about the beauty of finding meaning in suffering.
