After all the decorating, we weren’t going to do anything more for our anniversary, but last night we decided we wanted to do something special for the actual day of. Something fun, but not too crazy… we decided on this:
We left the house around 1pm and made the hour drive to Kissimmee. We were able to check-in early and take advantage of all that Gaylord Palms Resort has to offer, so we decided to spend a couple of hours in the Atrium.
The Atrium at Gaylord Palms is divided into sections based on Florida styles. There is a section based on Historic Saint Augustine, one based on the Florida Everglades, and one based on Key West. Since this was a trip for just the two of us, to celebrate our anniversary, we avoided the major, family-friendly areas. I will say that the Gaylord Palms has plenty to offer those traveling with kids, but that was not us! 😉
After check-in, we went up to our room to relax. We headed back downstairs and began our Food Crawl. We followed the guide and started our night at Socio.
Socio is a Cuban inspired bar and lounge. We started the night with Rum Cocktails from the 37 varieties of Rum they have on shelf. My hubby chose the Blunderbuss – reminiscent of a Cuban cigar and café con leche, this is a sweet and earthy slow sipper featuring brugal 1888 aged rum with a splash of amaretto, served as a smoke show
