Your Invitation…

Today is the start of the Lenten Season and it feels like a personal call from the Lord to come home. Today’s reading is the perfect invitation for our Lenten journeys:

“Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, and weeping, and mourning; rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the Lord, your God.”

Joel 2:12-13

Christ teaches us that there are 3 ways to return to Him during Lent; prayer, fasting, and alms giving. It is not just the sacrifice of giving something up, it is also adding a significant amount of prayer and a significant amount of giving. Continue reading “Your Invitation…”
